Mum's First Quilt Feb 2006?

This was probably the third quilt I started but the first I ever finished!  It's  was a gift for mum and somewhere in my UFO pile is a second one I'm making from a pattern she chose.

Max's Shark Costume Nov/Dec 2008

Eli's 1930s Cot Quilt Dec 2008
This quilt was made for a friend's second baby.  I love 1930s prints and this quilt has both pink and blue and is gender neutral.  I quilted it with a meander in brightly coloured variagated thread.

Hamish's Cot Quilt Mid 2010

This quilt was made for one if Andrew's work colleagues for the birth of his first child.  The quilt had several interruptions (2 wrist surgeries) but was given away well before Hamish's first birthday!

Max's Olden Day Outfit mid 2010

Earlier this year the Preps went on an excursion to Yarrabee Yesterday's World which is a replica of an "olden day" school.  They all had to dress up and do activities such as writing on slates.  Most children were terrified when the school marm went through the "olden day" punishments such as the strap or cane.  Strangely DS was quite amused by it. (no we don't beat him at home - or even smack for that matter!).  I really hate dress-making!  Never again but the jacket and pants turned out OK given the Nemesis was "helping".
