It's not an easy feat sandwiching a quilt with a very excited 6YO playing hopscotch on the pieced quilt backing!
Eventually he found the camera...
and then he got into the basting supplies.
I only found this out when I heard an "AWESOME!!!" coming from his direction. He informed me that the "sticky tape" can rip your hair out...
Finally the CBeebies website to the rescue where he played games while I finished basting.
After many tea/coffee/diet coke/chocolate breaks (there are advantages to having a dodgy wrist) the ordeal was over!!! Basting is by far the most painful part of quilting! BLECH!!
Must hard to get things done with a very ative 6 yr old around. Well done Alex.

He's off school in that in-between too-sick-to-go-too-well-to-stay-home stage. I do miss him while he's at school so I didn't mind. never a dull moment that's for sure!

ReplyDeleteAw, another use for duct tape. I have a Maxie too. She will be 30 her next birthday but she still does things like that. Makes life fun!

Reminds me of when I was young and the stupid things I got into. Just think of how much money he saved you by finding a new use of duct tape and the Canadians think they have the corner on it.

He makes me laugh. I love the scrapes he gets into (except the ones that scare me and take 10 years off my life!!)
